How We Handle Your Data
We wrote our full Privacy Policy / Notice to be DPDP Act 2023-aligned and genuinely accurate to what the product does — not boilerplate. This post is the shorter, plain-language version of the same thing.
What we actually store
When you sign up, we store your name, email, and whatever you add to your portfolio — work experience, projects, photos, and (if you use the resume parser) the contents of the resume you upload. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Traffic to the platform is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data.
- We don't share your credentials with third parties.
- Analytics cookies only run if you accept them in our cookie banner — nothing tracks you before you choose.
Your rights as a Data Principal
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your data, and to withdraw any consent you've given. All of that is self-service through our Data Rights Request form, or you can email our Grievance Officer directly at contact@showcaseme.in.
Deleting your account
This is fully self-service too — Dashboard → Settings → Danger Zone. Deleting your account anonymizes your name, email, and username immediately, removes your portfolios and AI-generated templates along with their hosted files, and cancels any active subscription. It's permanent and can't be undone, which is why it requires typing "DELETE" to confirm.
If any of this raises a question we haven't answered here, the full Privacy Policy has the complete detail, and our Terms of Service covers the data protection clause specifically.
